2025 PRE-SEASON MEETING SUMMARY                                 Posted: 9/15/2025
The 2025 League Pre-Season Captains meeting was held on 9/10/2025 at Turner Hall. President Kevin Zubke called the meeting to order at 7:35PM.
All of last year's teams are returning this year. There is a possibilty of 1 additional team, captained by Mike Kannenberg, which would put the League
at 13 teams. River Tap has changed sponsors to Silver Eagle. A new schedule will be posted once we know if the league will have 12 or 13 teams.
If there are 12 teams the league will start on 11/5/2025 and play 17 weeks. If there are 13 teams, the league will start on 10/22/2025 and play 19 weeks.
Player fees remain at $10 per night, and sponsor fee remains $55 for the year. The treasurers report showed a beginning balance of $204.66, and an
ending balance of $425.16. The League party will be the last night of the season.
CHANGES AND DISCUSSION POINTS FOR THIS YEAR
* There will be no roving subs. No sub may play the last night, unless they have played at least one previous league night.
* The League will have 2 built in weeks for Turner Hall being unavailable to allow for more flexibility should extra weeks be needed.
* The League will continue the modified two division league. Divisions will be determined after each team has played every other team once.
* If the League has 13 teams, there will NOT be a bye week for any team. Instead, the "bye" team will play against their average, and have to score
equal to or more runs than their average to get a win. All nine innings must be played. Please be honest.

The Dartball Rating System used by the league takes various pieces of data and puts them into a formula to develop a players individual
dartball rating. The formula averages five individual statistics of a player against a high standard of: 1) Hitting .650 on the single, 2) Hitting
.550 on the triple, 3) Hitting .600 overall, 4) A Slugging Percentage of 1.000, and 5) Averaging 1 RBI for each 2.5 at bats.

2024 PRE-SEASON MEETING SUMMARY                                 Posted: 9/13/2024
The 2024 League Pre-Season Captains meeting was held on 9/4/2024 at Turner Hall. President Kevin Zubke called the meeting to order at 7:02PM.
Maass Refrigeration is not returning this year, leaving the League with 12 teams this season. Some teams will be changing sponsors and a league
schedule has been posted. The League will start October 30. The treasurers report showed a balance of $204.66. The League party will be the last
night of the season. Player fees remain at $10 per night, and sponsor fee remains $55 for the year.
CHANGES AND DISCUSSION POINTS FOR THIS YEAR
* Getting more teams was discussed. Nothing was decided formally, but players should invite people they have contact with, that might be interested.
* The League confirmed the tie breaker rule: 1) head-to-head, 2) average runs, 3) a one game playoff.
* There will be no roving subs. No sub may play the last night, unless they have played at least one previous league night.
* The idea of doing away with the party the last night, and just having the league buy players a drink, was defeated by lack of support.
* The League will take a one week break on February 12, 2025 to allow for more flexibility should extra weeks be needed.
* The League adopted a modified two division league. Initially all teams will be in one division, playing all other teams in the league (11 weeks).
Teams will then be ranked based on won/lost record. Any ties will be broken by head-to-head. Once all teams are ranked (1-12), odd numbered
rankings will be in Division I, and even numbered rankings will be in Divisioin II. Then, each team will play teams in their division once more (5 weeks).
The League Championship will be determined by the Division I Champion playing the Division II Champion the last night of the season. Also on the last
night, the 2nd through 6th place Division I teams will play the corresponding Division II 2nd through 6th place teams.

DALE LENIUS REMEMBERED                                         Posted: 5/18/2024
Dale Lenius, past president of the League, and original organizer of the League, past away on 5/17/2024. He will be remembered for his contributions
to the league, and his positive outlook with the struggles of life on earth. We pray for comfort and peace for Dale's wife and family members as we
remember the words of James 1, verse 12: "Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will
receive the Crown of Life, which God has promised to those who love him".

CAPTAIN'S MEETING TO DETERMINE TIE BREAKER                         Posted: 3/27/2024
President Kevin Zubke called a Captain's meeting before play on 3/20/2024. The purpose of the meeting was to determine how tie breakers would
be determined. On a 10-2 vote, it was decided that "head-to-head" play would be the first tie breaker. The second tie breaker is average runs and
the third tie breaker would be a 1 game playoff between the still tied teams.

EARL ZUBKE AND ERIC THORSEN REMEMBERED                           Posted: 10/25/2023
Tradically, our league lost two former players during the past year: Earl Zubke and Eric Thorsen. Earl passed away on May 24, 2023, and
Eric passed away on January 20, 2023. Both were remembered in a moment of silence before the beginning of league play for the season.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to their families. May these words from Matthew 11:28, comfort all of us, where Jesus said, "Come to me, all you
who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest".

2023 PRE-SEASON MEETING SUMMARY                                 Posted: 9/6/2023
The 2023 League Pre-Season Captains meeting was held on 9/6/2023 at Turner Hall. President Kevin Zubke called the meeting to order at 7:02PM.
Tietz Taxidermy is not returning this season, but Kevin Zubke will get a new team, leaving the League with 14 teams again this season.
Some teams will be changing sponsors, and the new team doesn't have a sponsor name yet, but a temporary schedule is posted. The League will
start October 25. The treasurers report showed a balance of $282.50 and the State Dartball Fund has a balance of $190.00. Two new boards were
purchased. The League party will be the last night of the season. Player fees remain at $10 per night, and sponsor fee remains $55 for the year.
CHANGES AND DISCUSSION POINTS FOR THIS YEAR
The League has adopted a two division league, with 7 teams in each division. Each team will play teams in their division twice, and play each team
in the other division once. The divisions are determined by last years runs scored, with the exception of Silk Exotic wanting to be in Division I, and
Kathy's Buffalo Bar wanting to be in Division II. This was accepted since the teams were both on the "cut" line for each division. The League
Championship will be determined by the Divison I Champion playing the Division II Champion the last night of the season. Also on the last night, the
2nd through 7th place Division I teams will play the corresponding Division II 2nd through 7th place team.
Each team will need to electronically send (text or email) the End Of Night Sheet to Randy Stauffer. A simple way is to take a picture of the sheet
and text the picture to Randy. You can also ask Kevin (or anyone else) to handle the texting or emailing for you.
Text: 920.650.4220 Email: rwsfrazier2024@gmail.com
Lastly, Forfeits are discouraged! Forfeiting teams will still pay the weekly team fee ($10) and receive 3 losses, while the opponent receives 3 wins.
STARTING TIME WILL CONTINUE TO BE 7:00PM                           Posted: 9/6/2023
The starting time for games will be 7:00PM, based on the majority of the Captains wanting it. If you need to start later, let the other team know.

There will be $770 of income from sponsor fees ($55 per team * 14 teams)

2012 PRE-SEASON MEETING SUMMARY                                 Posted: 10/15/2012
The 2012 League Pre-Season Captains meeting was held on 9/12/2012 at Turner Hall. Three new teams have joined the league; Lebby's Pizza
has returned, along with Kraemer Cheese and Loppy's Bar (same sponsor, different team -- the "old" Loppy's Bar is now Reichert's On R).
With all of last years teams returning, the league has 19 teams. Because of the odd number of teams, each team will receive a bye, one
week of the season.
CHANGES FOR THIS YEAR
* The last place team (19th place) for each position round will receive a bye.
* If a one game playoff is necessary the final night of the season, the handicap will be recalculated prior to the final game.

2011 PRE-SEASON MEETING SUMMARY                                 Posted: 10/13/2011
The 2011 League Pre-Season Captains meeting was held on 10/12/2011 at Turner Hall. Three teams have dropped from the league; GAF
Construction, Kathy's Buffalo Bar and Turner Bucks. One new team was added, Tietz Taxidermy, leaving the league with 16 teams.
CHANGES FOR THIS YEAR
* Handicaps will now have decimal point, and handicaps will be determined after subtracting with decimal point.
* When one team is averaging more than double the runs per game than their opponent, the opponent will only get enough handicap runs to
equal the other teams average. If the runs are "odd" then the next lower handicap runs are given.
* New teams will establish average the first night, while returning teams will use last years average runs.

2010 PRE-SEASON MEETING SUMMARY                                 Posted: 9/30/2010
The 2010 League Pre-Season Captains meeting was held on 9/29/2010 at Turner Hall. President Dale Zubke called the meeting to order at
at 8:05 PM, with all teams present. The two main topics discussed were handicap and playoffs.
HANDICAP
Handicap ideas ranged from only giving 75% of the total runs, to only giving as many runs to match your opponents run average. These ideas
were tabled and we will continue with the 100% handicap rule, giving one run for each run scored. Our Secretary will keep track of how many
times the outcome of a game would have changed by only giving runs to match your opponents run average.
PLAYOFFS
Having an end-of-season playoff for the top 8 teams to determine the League Champion was discussed. While we will not have a playoff this year,
there seems to be some teams that would like a playoff. Perhaps a League Champion for the most wins throughout the season, AND a Playoff
Champion for the end-of-season tournament would work in the future.
TREASURERS REPORT
We started last year with $60.01 and ended with $215.00. We also have about $1,800 in reserve from proceeds when the League hosted the
2008 Wisconsin State Dartball Tournament.

LEAGUE MORNS PASSING OF ED FORTMANN                             Posted: 9/17/2009
The 2009 pre-season meeting was held on September 16, 2009 at Turner Hall. The meeting began with a rememberance of our past League
Secretary Ed Fortmann, whose untimely death on July 1, 2009 was honored with a moment of silence. We will all miss Ed, his sense of humor,
and dartball comraidere. Ed was not only our League Secretary, but also a true friend of dartball. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family
and friends. May these words from John 11:25 comfort all of us; "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even
though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die."
